Re: Hello

Thanks for signing up... It's really kind of you, and I'm honored that so many people are finding my tutorials useful. To be honest when I started making them, I doubted I had enough technical skill, let alone ability to explain and document the content, so to get feedback like this is really someth...

Re: CPC Plotting pixels

well the reason I wasn't doing this 30 years ago is I was ten then!... but seriously, remember i only started learning Assembly 3 years ago... In a lot of ways I'm really documenting what I'm learning, and making it available to others... Anyway, in my tutorial I used a lookup table to calculate add...

Re: Pixel Perfect - My first working program :D

Nice! You've got a really solution to reading the controls, and converting them to player movement...The 'crash effect' is really good too! You're code is far better code commented than mine ever is, it looks well structured as well. Do you have any 'future plans' for this program?... for some reaso...

PDP-11

This CPU is in the 'Looks fascinating, but I don't think I'll ever have the time' category... but I thought Id give the system a mention, and put some of the good links I've found for it (probably just as a memo to myself in the future!) There was an article on the PDP-11 on the register a few years...

A bit of Fun? running a Z80 from a breadboard!

https://youtu.be/AZb4NLXx1aM I'd love to try this one day when I get time... in this video Julian Ilett fires up a Z80 on a bread board with a couple of LED's showing the Address bus and Clock in action... with some resistors simulating a 1 byte ROM! For someone like me, who's messed with the ASM c...

Re: Good morning

I look forward to your 'annoying' questions!... that's what I'm hoping these forums are for!

Hopefully we can collect all the common questions and answers, and if people are often having an issue or getting stuck on something, I'll be able to use it as a subject for a future video!

A bit of fun? Zelda for the Nes Cheat / Glitch

https://youtu.be/fj9u00PMkYU I came across this before I started learning 6502... maybe you've seen it already? It's a trick where by manipulating the bytes in memory, and then exploiting a bug, the player can cause the manipulated bytes to be executed! The video goes into a lot of detail of the 65...

Re: Good morning

Welcome to the forum... Good luck with the Amiga programming, I'm going to be covering more Amiga content just as soon as I can (I just got hardware sprites working this weekend!)... Of course Grime 68000 works on the amiga, and I didn't have too much trouble getting that working, so I'm pretty sure...
