Hi All!

Hay Board,

fews days ago I never would have imagined that I end up here.
I was wondering about how Pokemon was programmed and found out that Pokemon has been completely reverse engineered, which made me curious.
Now I want to learn about Gameboy Development to understand the code better and hopefully I will write a small game!

Looking forward to this journey!

Welcome to the forum! Thanks for signing up.

As you may now know, the Gameboy uses a CPU similar to a Z80, but with a few limitations (that can be 'worked around')

You can definitely make your own game if you want, I managed to make 'Grime Z80' in 7 days, and that works on the gameboy (it's open source too)... I'm currently developing a new little game called 'Chibi Aliens' which I plan to port to the gameboys as well...

Anyway 'Good Luck' with your programming adventures, please feel free to post any questions you're stuck on, or links to any resources you find help you with your programming!
