Hi, I was having the exact same problem. If you are running notepad ++ via the shortcut (image 1) try to run the actual EXE file (image 2)

this happened to me with the gameboy so i'm not sure if it will work for you

edit1: I think this is happening because seeing the path of the shortcut it is pointing to C :, and recreating the shortcut to point to the notepad++ in Z: it works correctly
