While most of the systems we have looked at have 'proper sound processors... unfortunately not all do!

Before the 128k systems,The ZX spectrum 48k only had what's known as a 'beeper speaker'... this is also used by the Apple II
It's not pretty... but we can use it to make sounds!

Another place to check out to learn all about the wonderful ZX Speccy 1-bit music tunes is the 1-bit forum, for all 8-bit computers, but emphasis is on the ZX ) http://randomflux.info/1bit/

Some of the better 1-bit engines and music are superior than a lot of the 8-bit generated music.
