Early Development work has begun on an MSX port of Chibi Akumas!
I'm targeting a release in 2018, and the game will be released on 3.5 inch floppy disk image
The game will require an MSX2, with 64k memory and 128k VRAM
Now that Chibi Akumas Episode 2 is done, I can start focusing on MSX and Spectrum Development.
It's early days, but things are going pretty well!
Arkostracker handles all my games sound, and it works just fine on MSX, I have a basic disk-reader, which I'm going to attach to the File decompressor/loader code the 'akuyou' game engine uses
I'm writing my own sprite editor, which will convert the CPC sprites for the MSX - it's going well, and I already have a new file structure, and sprite displayer working, which handles the MSX2 VDP display well... I'm not using the MSX hardware sprites, they are too limited for my needs, and just enabling them slows down VDP, so I'm just going to work without them.
Below is an early screenshot! it shows a gradient render, with a sprite that moves depending on joystick controls!
It's just an early test, but I'm working my way through all the modules of the game, creating MSX equivalents so I can eventually load up an actual level!
This will be my first MSX game, so Please follow my progress on Twitter, and offer any support or encouragement you can!
I wrote Chibi Akumas in my spare time, if you like it, and you want me to keep making these games, please spread the word and tell others about my games!

Warning!: This game is comedy fiction which contains graphic violence, bad language and religious themes which will be offensive to some people. the games rating is R-15, if you do not shows like "South Park" you will not enjoy this game
This game is not suitable for children - if you think a psychotic monster is a good role model for your kids I think you need to re-assess your parenting methods!
I do not condone or encourage any of actions portrayed in this game ! This is FICTION. if you cannot tell the difference between what is acceptable in a game and real life you should not be playing this - Killing people and drinking their blood is NOT COOL!... I despair that I have to point this crap out, but it seems I do
Some of the images on this website have had their colour enhanced for artistic effect and to represent the intended appearance of the character, I do not want to mislead people as to the standard of my game, so these images are marked with a red cross
